Viking InterWorks’ Office-in-a-Box (OIB) is a feature rich, production-ready design based on the Mindspeed Comcerto 800 processor. The Comcerto processor combines guaranteed quality voice-over-packet subsystems with a high-performance routing and VPN engine that enable integrated “office-in-a-box” products at the lowest system cost. Together with industry-proven software, the OIB’s processor provides a true system-on-chip solution for a new class of converged VoIP, PBX and router products.

Plus, the OIB offers a complete hardware and software solution for the development of voice and wireless gateways. The OIB demonstrates the scalability of the Mindspeed Comcerto processor as a solution for a wide range of applications including wireless SMB gateways with Networked Attached Storage (NAS) and print server capability, security solutions providing Firewall, VPN termination and complete VoIP solutions for the SMB environment.

As a truly turnkey solution, OIB offers OEMs the option of a fully customized integrated design that is ready for manufacturing and can be delivered in production units of any volume. The OIB’s small form factor greatly simplifies device development cycles and significantly reduces time to market.
